Paul Adams is Fostering Development Consultant at CoramBAAF, based in the policy, research and development team. This role includes working to influence policy and practice in fostering, supporting practitioners through advice and guidance, as well as working collaboratively with other agencies on various committees and groups.
Paul’s background is predominantly in local authority children services, managing child care and fostering teams. He is an experienced chair of fostering and adoption panels, and provides supervision, consultancy and training in various settings.
Paul has authored Good Practice Guides on parent and child fostering, contact in permanent placements, social work with Gypsy, Roma and Traveller children, and dogs and pets in fostering and adoption. He has also developed a range of assessment and review forms that are published with good practice guidance.
